Similar devices are commonly used in physical therapy. Also, this is a research project, not a commercial product.

Yes, it moves your body.

Sixth-Sense does this by stimulating your vestibular system, which is responsible for balance and spatial orientation.

Shifting your balance causes you to stumble in the shifted direction. This is called Galvanic Vestibular Stimulation (GVS).

Why???

It's funny. Also this is a very budget version of spidey sense.
